The ranking system of the Crusaders of Excalibur is as follows, from highest rank to lowest.

Founder

The Founders of the Crusaders of Excalibur have the power to take over the guild at any time. This includes (but is not limited to, of course) times of war, guild decay, and corrupt leadership.

The Government of COE

The King or Queen rules the Crusaders of Excalibur and makes the laws with advice and aid from his High Chancellors. "The Crown" refers to the King and Queen, King's Advisor and/or High Chancellors (HC). If the King is absent for an extended period of time, the High Chancellors are to share the duty as King. The Chancellors' and advisors' jobs are advising the King, helping with the day to day issues, and, when necessary, appeal a law or action made by the King which are not in the best interest of the guild. Such serious action includes any act that breaks the code, laws, or rules and ethics of The Crusaders of Excalibur. If a member of the High Chancellors resigns from his/her position, there will be an election to fill this void. There would also be an election incase of the King or Queen resigning from power.

Dukes and Duchesses, Lords and Ladies

These two ranks are the highest a Crusader of Excalibur can achieve without being elected into the Government of COE. These men and women have shown extreme dedication and loyalty to the COE. They have made several contributions to its growth and have stuck with the cause even during times of question. They have been a member of the guild for at least 1 year and during their time as a member completed at least 6 quests given to them by a higher rank. Dukes and Duchesses deal with friend and allied guild relations, while Lords and Ladies deal with issues inside the guild. Also, one Duke or Duchess will be the path leader for the Templars, while one Lord or Lady will be the path leader for the Paladins.

Templars and Paladins

Templars and Paladins are path choices for questing path knights. While Templars train to become Dukes or Duchesses, Paladins train to become Lords or Ladies. Templars are assigned quests by their path leader involving allied and friendly clans. Paladins are to be assigned quests that help newer members build there characters, gather equipment, or just game with the newer Crusaders of Excalibur. The minimum requirement for promotion is 3 quests.

Knights Ascendant

Knights Ascendants are the next rank after Knights Errant, and the first rank at which you may be elected to the Government of COE. These are the members who have completed quests as footmen, squires, and Knights Errants. They also have the opportunity to take more than one squire or a Knights Errant to assign quests to. Members of this rank are now Knights of the Round Table.

Knights Errant

As a Knights Errant, you are eligible to take one squire to assign quests to. The minimum requirements for promotion to Knights Ascendant is 2 quests assigned by a higher rank. Although you are no longer a squire, you are still not eligible to be elected to the Government of COE.

Squire

Squirehood is achieved when you chose a Knight that will assign you quests to serve the Crusaders of Excalibur. Once you are a squire, you must complete at least 2 quests and be a member of the guild for at least 2 months to be promoted.

Footmen

You are assigned the rank of footman if you have just joined the guild. You must display honour, chivalry, integrity, and other important knightly qualities before you are accepted as a squire. You must also recruit one able member who displays these same qualities. You must then chose a Knight that will assign you quests in order for you to climb the ranks of the Crusaders of Excalibur.
